ENERGY TOUR / INFORMATION SESSION:

We’d like to share what we’ve learned over the years about different energy systems. We’ll tell you the plusses and minuses about different ways of saving and producing your own power and heat

We produce our own electrical power with a windmill and photo-voltaic panels, with a diesel co-generator as back-up. Our heat and domestic hot water come from an active and passive solar system with a gas and outside wood boiler and instantaneous water heater as back-ups. An attached solar greenhouse, super-insulated house design and various other energy conservation features are also incorporated.

The fee is $100/two hours. This is based on time not number of participants, so cost may be shared with others.
